These artists were promised a solo exhibition at Zadik in the years 2019-2021, which will not take place. On 09.09.2019 we celebrated ten years for Zadik. Shortly later I am compelled to announce its closure. The idea that the gallery would be a home for art lovers, regular people conducting a persistent dialogue with creativity, passion, involvement and excitement, aware of the emerging history through other people’s ideas and work, has fully materialized until about three years ago. People have arrived, observed, been moved, interested and bought. The gallery existed (did not make profit) thanks to the events among its walls. Only then, a political-social-economic change occurred that slowed this blessed existence to a halt. I felt that the gallery became irrelevant, traffic slowed, municipality taxes soared and the economic burden was unbearable. The last year was frustrating and vexing, caused me much sadness and my accountant fury, even though we conducted ourselves with consideration and lean agility.

There is no surrender without a statement. I am full of confidence and love for the sweat, labor, sentiment, intention, and artistic dexterity of all those promised, and I have therefore invited them to take part in the gallery’s final cord. To participate in a group exhibition that presents the exhibitions that will not be, that will be a brief history of the future, in the spirit of these times: brief, focused, succinct – TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read). The exhibition opens on November seventh. Every artist presents their “selected” work, which usually forms the image for the invitation. Every “exhibition” has a name, brief, date and curatorial guidance.
